This project was part of our University of California, Berkeley course taught by Dr. Hatem Bazian called Asians in America 128AC: Muslims in America. We divided into groups and went out into the Bay Area Muslim communities to interview and collect their community stories.
ABOUT US
Hi, I'm Zara Aslam and I'm currently a senior at UC Berkeley majoring in Sociology. During my free time, I like to read books and play tennis. If I could have any superpower, I would chose the ability to fly--that way I could travel the world for free.
Hello, my name is Nadine Talaat and I am majoring in Political Science at UC Berkeley. My hobbies include listening to music and writing poetry. If I could have a superpower I would choose telepathy to be able to read everyone's mind and be able carry out a conversation with just thoughts.
Hello! My name is Ahmad Fayad, currently majoring in Political Science at UC Berkeley, and hoping to enter a doctorate program in Ethnic Studies. I am very interested in languages, social and civil rights, eating a good meal, and having a good conversation. If I could have a superpower, I would definitely pause time, so I can have the time to do everything I need and want. Though if I can't have that, I would settle with having the ability to create any food on the spot.
Hello, my name is Sara Nasir. I'm a poli- econ major and public policy minor. I love rowing and traveling. I took a year off after hight school to learn about different cultures around the world. If I could have one super power it would definitely be teleporting myself just because it would make it far more easier for me to travel.
